I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt request to support a cause that can make a profound difference in the lives of women and girls in Uganda.

Access to sanitary products and essential underwear is a significant challenge for many women and girls in Uganda. This issue not only affects their health and hygiene but also impacts their education and overall quality of life. During menstruation, many young girls are forced to stay home from school and are unable to participate in daily activities, limiting their opportunities and affecting their self-esteem.

In many cases, women and girls resort to using old clothes as makeshift pads, which is not only uncomfortable but also unhygienic and potentially harmful. (See our making Pads project). Furthermore, owning only one or two pairs of underwear, which they may wear for over one to two years, compounds these difficulties and indignities.

To address this critical need, we are launching a project to acquire and send underwear for ladies and girls in Uganda. Your generous contribution will provide essential underwear and empower women and girls to lead healthier and more dignified lives. This support will help them attend school regularly, participate in community activities, and improve their overall well-being.
